| Electricity hikes – not shock tactics but reality | 21-02-06 |

If we are not careful, Eximo could easily mistaken for some type of harbinger of doom. But electricity prices are of serious concern throughout industry, and that's something we keep echoing for good reason. Higher costs mean lower profits!
First there was the proposal by Federal Secretary Warren Entsch for a new energy efficiency program to lower greenhouse emissions from 2006 which will see any business using more than 0.5 petajoules of energy annually within its corporate group to be registered under a program.
Then there were price increases forewarned by the National Electricity Market Management Company (NEMMCO) in its VIC/SA Summer outlook that expects a steady rise in eastern seaboard electricity prices at least until August 2006.
Yet again, this vindicates our decision to introduce appropriate new technology Optiflow. Not that we needed any convincing that this is the way to go.
The beauty with Optiflow is that it actually decreases the amount of electricity needed to run a complete ducting system. For starters, Optiflow normally operates with such an effect, but its greatest strength is in how it integrates a negative pressure chamber as essential point of the ducting system, which runs on very little power.
So, as electricity prices go up, the end user of our Optiflow system and their associated ducting products uses less electricity.
Rather than sit back and whinge about inevitable price rises in a vital energy component of business, Eximo steps back to find the right technology to drive our clients’ business into the future, without them incurring high costs as they try to grow their own businesses.
In a short space of time, the results gained using Optiflow have been near amazing. Apart from using less electricity than a standard ducting system, every Optiflow installation has completely wiped out downtime. In some cases, this downtime was as much as two to three hours per day. Now it is reduced, on average, to about one hour per year!
But Eximo isn't here to do merely talk about it. Optiflow is here as an affordable and cost-effective solution and it takes nothing to talk to us about the possibility of including it in your own premises or those of your clients (for our technical partners).
Mainstream media can put the fear of god into businesses regarding the inevitable rise of electricity prices, but with ducting being a part of the equation, every single industrial business in Australia is now in a position to gain those clear-cut electricity cost savings to make the ultimate difference over the medium term.
We are very committed to this and are willing to talk to anybody who would like to see this technology demonstrated in action. For an idea of how it works, go to our website at www.eximo.com.au and use the ‘new product’ link for a video demonstration.
We have no doubt you'll walk away feeling totally convinced that Optiflow is the ducting technology of the future which will reduce greenhouse gas emissions, reduce the amount of the electricity used operate ducting, lower running costs, banish downtime, and leave you with an ducting operation that is completely future proofed.
